Metal Stamping
At Jom, we are a metal stamping company with a team of highly trained professionals who handle the setup of dies on our presses, the loading of strip coils onto our unwinders, the necessary inspections in accordance with the quality requirements for each part, and manufacturing in accordance with established production guidelines.
We have a division dedicated to the manufacture of metal parts using automated or step-by-step stamping processes. Our machinery allows us to cut, bend, stamp, and deep-draw parts ranging from 40 metric tons to 250 metric tons.
By offering cold metal stamping services in combination with processes such as laser cutting, punching, bending, and welding, we are able to provide our customers with a comprehensive, end-to-end solution. It also enables us to consistently achieve the optimal manufacturing process and add significant value to our metal stamping services, while reducing manufacturing costs through process automation.
Mass-production metal stamping at the JOM factory
At our facility, as a metal stamping company in Barcelona, we perform metal stamping using sheet metal or coils made from all types of metallic materials. Using dies that we manufacture ourselves, we cold-form the materials and create the parts our customers need. In addition, we have the necessary machinery for hot stamping, which we use to create parts by applying high temperatures.
Thanks to our fleet of optimized machinery, we are able to mass-produce large quantities of metal parts for industry. At JOM, we have been providing metal stamping services for nearly 50 years to all types of industrial sectors.
Characteristics of Cold Metal Stamping
In metal stamping, we can distinguish between two clearly distinct types of stamping, depending on the temperature applied to the material being formed.
Cold metal stamping is made possible by the elasticity and ductility of the materials used to form the parts. These mechanical properties of the materials allow us to manufacture metal parts that are highly durable and, at the same time, very lightweight.
Although we at JOM perform many cold-forming techniques, the ones most frequently requested by our customers are progressive die forming, metal cutting and punching, and deep drawing.
If you need to manufacture metal parts using the cold stamping process, you can call our customer service line or send an email using the contact form. Our sales team will respond to your request as soon as possible and provide a detailed estimate of the production costs for your parts.
High-Temperature Metal Stamping
Unlike cold stamping, hot metal stamping involves raising the metal’s temperature until it becomes ductile and malleable. Although we do not perform this type of stamping at JOM, we can help you get in touch with companies that do.
Before we get into that, let’s explain what hot stamping is so you can decide if that’s really what you need. Since it’s performed at a temperature higher than the metal’s recrystallization temperature, this stamping technique results in parts with lower dimensional accuracy than those produced by cold stamping. On the other hand, hot stamping allows for greater deformation of metal parts because they’re worked at high temperatures.
The Quality of Metal Stamping
While the cost savings and the cost of manufacturing parts through metal stamping are very important, quality is no less so. At JOM, we are committed to both material efficiency and manufacturing quality, as we know that quality standards in modern industries are very high.
Our facilities hold the highest quality certifications, such as ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016.
Our facilities are equipped to perform all types of cold metal stamping; since our company was founded in 1975, stamping has been one of our cornerstones.
Our team of mechanical engineers has extensive experience in die making and works constantly to produce parts with maximum efficiency. One of the most important aspects of our work is material optimization. At JOM, we believe that saving our customers production costs by optimizing manufacturing and material utilization is essential to providing excellent service.
If you’re looking for a company that can provide high-quality metal stamping at a competitive price, don’t hesitate to request a quote. Our sales department will contact you as soon as possible to provide a customized quote for the metal parts you need.
