Folded
No matter how complex the part is, we are equipped to handle any type of sheet metal bending. All our bending work is carried out using CAD-CAM programming. We provide solutions for all types of standard or custom metal bending needs. For custom bends, we design and build tooling in our tooling shop.
CNC Press Brakes
We have extensive sheet metal bending capabilities; our wide range of machinery allows us to perform bending operations with very tight and demanding tolerances. In collaboration with our tooling department, we design and build special tools to be used on our press brakes when a particular part requires them.
Thanks to the engineering expertise of our team and our machinery, we can offer specialized bending and deep-drawing services. We have endless possibilities for achieving the results the customer is looking for and desires.
CNC Sheet Metal Bending
CNC sheet metal bending is one of the operations we perform most frequently at JOM. It allows us to bend sheet metal with great precision to produce custom parts for our customers.
To perform precision metal bending, we are supported by a professional team with extensive expertise—both in engineering and as operators—in metal bending. CNC bending machines require knowledge of the specific characteristics of the metal to be bent, including its hardness and strength.
CNC metal bending machines allow us to achieve significant cost savings on the metal parts we produce, as well as to perform precision bending at a competitive price.
Metal Sheet Bending
To manufacture metal parts for a specific application, it is very important to determine the right metal for each application and industry. That is why we bend all types of metal and offer a wide variety of metal materials.
How does a sheet metal bending machine work?
There are several processes for manufacturing metal parts that involve bending. At JOM, we offer the following:
V-fold sheet metal bending: This is the most common bending method. It is performed using a punch that applies pressure to specific points on the sheet metal.
Edge or partial bending: Sheet metal is bent at a variety of angles. This process allows metal parts to be bent at many different angles.
Press Bending: Press bending is a bending method we use extensively at JOM. It allows us to perform precision bends at a speed far greater than that of CNC bending machines. Press bending requires press brakes and qualified personnel for their design and operation.
The wide variety of sheet metal bending processes we use at JOM allows us to adapt to the requirements of each bent metal part and its intended use. It also allows us to reduce the cost of bent parts by tailoring the process to each specific case.
Metal-forming machinery
We have five TRUMPF and AMADA press brakes for manufacturing the bent parts we supply to our customers:
- TRUMPF Press Brake (5130) 130TM.
- TRUMPF 36TM press brake.
- TRUMPF 36TM press brake.
- AMADA 80TM press brake.
- AMADA 60TM press brake.
This fleet of sheet metal bending machines allows us to meet a wide variety of our customers’ needs in terms of sheet thickness, part length, and the type of sheet metal being bent.
In addition, we have a press shop for stamping, where—if the quantity of parts to be produced or their specifications require it—the bending process is also carried out.
